491,171. Vehicle spring-suspensions; underframes. MURRAY, L. E. R. April 24, 1937, No. 11788. [Class 108 (ii)] A two-wheeled trailer chassis is mounted on the axle by leaf springs the ends of which are connected to the chassis longitudinally at points above the lower edge of the longitudinal side members and also are so mounted as to flex into spaces between two parallel frame members at each side. The chassis comprises a rectangular frame 4, 5 and a triangulated frame 6, 8 the two frames being connected together rigidly by cross members 10 .. 12. The springs 13 are pivoted at 9 above the lower edge of the side members 5 and at 17 to the upper ends of shackles 15 pivoted at 16 to the side frame members. The ends of the axle 14 are cranked upwardly.
