[Class 102 (i)] A pump for a spraying-apparatus includes a plunger 522 which is actuated on its delivery stroke by an auxiliary liquid controlled by another piston not shown. The auxiliary liquid passes through a port 20a in a plate 20 against which the plunger is pressed by a spring 523 engaging a flange 522a. The spring is thus immersed in the auxiliary liquid.
