[Class 92 (i)] A loading-tray k of the kind which is' connected by links f, g with the gun carriage has the length of the link f so varied during swinging of the links that the ammunition is automatically brought parallel with the barrel at varying angles of gun elevation. The receiving position of the tray is shown at III, and, in the loading positions shown at I and II, the tray rests on a rearward extension b<1> of the cradle. The link f is shown with a slot t engaging over a pin u on the gun carriage the end s of the link moving in a cam groove r in the carriage. To enable the front of the tray to abut against the breech in all adjusted positions, the tray is made to slide axially in its support i by hand or automatic means.
