481,417. Lubricating. STORW & CO'S. APPARATEN-FABRIEK N. V., GEB. Nov. 8, 1937, No. 30643. Convention date, Oct. 21. [Class 12 (iii)] [Also in Group IX] In a scutching wheel 1 for decorticating or depulping fibrous leaves or other plant parts and which is freely revoluble about a shaft or sleeve 8, the hub 3 forms an oil reservoir and the shaft or sleeve carries a radial pipe or pipes 14, 15 which open rearwardly into the reservoir at a distance from the sleeve. On rotation of the wheel the oil in the hub 3 is thrown outward and is forced through the pipes 14, 15 and the passages 12, 13 into the annular chambers 10a, 11a and from thence along the oil grooves in the bearing surfaces of the bushes 6, 7 and back to the hub 3.
