Abstract
479,735. Electro-medical apparatus. SIEBS, S. July 5, 1937, No. 18611. Convention date, July 8, 1936. [Class 81 (ii)] An electrode for short wave treatment of the face comprises a strip a, of flexible metal such as aluminium, positioned over the centre line of the face and having branch strips c . . . . h and m which extend over the forehead, cheeks, and chin and are interlocked at their ends to form a rigid structure, the strips h having further branches i, k. The strips are lined with non-conducting material b such as felt or sponge rubber. The parts a<1>, a<2>, of strip a are longer than required and are looped as shown to adjust the electrode to the size of the fan. Current is supplied at p. The strip a may be extended as at a<3> and may have branches n, o, with lateral extensions for treatment of the neck.
