[Classes 6 (i) and 6 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXII] For connecting mowers, rollers, agricultural machines, &c. either in gangs or in series, each mower is provided with a frame 1 and pivoted draw-bar 2, Fig. 1, and a number of detachable coupling-elements 6, which may be universally connected, as shown in Fig. 9, to the frames or draw-bars so as to constitute a gang, or the coupling- elements may be detached and the draw-bars 2 swung over, as shown in Fig. 10, to group the mowers in series. As shown, the draw-bar 2 of each mower is pivoted to the front transverse bar 10 of the frame 1, and is held in any adjusted position by means of a spring pin 11 engaging one of a series of apertures arranged in an arc on the frame 1. At the mid-point of the bar 10, and at the ends of the rear transverse bar 4 are disposed eyes 9<1>, 5 for effecting the various connections. Adjustment of the cutters relative to the frame may be effected by the co-operation of a toothed boss 13 fixed to the shaft 4 with a second toothed boss 15, which is rotated by a lever 16 and to which is secured a wheel 14 engaged by a chain 22 for adjusting the cutters.
