[Class 140] [Also in Group XXII] A composite embossing - foil comprises a thin metal foil 5 secured by a plastic adhesive layer 4 to a second metal foil 3, which in turn is secured by a non-plastic adhesive layer 2 to a paper or other backing 1. The layer 4 may be permanently plastic or it may be rendered plastic by heat during the impressing operation. Aluminium foil may be used.
