Abstract

470,784. Warp knitting - machines. MORTON, J., and HANNAY, R. S. E. Feb. 21, 1936, No. 5245. [Class 74 (ii)] The warp guide-bar is shogged by two continuously rotating cams 10, 11, one cam 11 serving to actuate the guide-bar 12 solely for the knitting motions, and the cam 10 serving to effect shogging for patterning purposes. The cam 10 is arranged to rotate at higher speed than the cam 11 and is arranged to act upon a tappet 21 substantially in line with the guidebar. A wedge-shaped member 27, which is moved'at right-angles to the tappet 21 by the cam 11 is arranged between the tappet 21 and a second tappet 23 in line therewith. Mechanism as claimed in Specification 470,813 may be provided.
