Abstract
398,384. Knitting-machines. HILSCHER, A., HILSCHER, C., and HILSCHER, E., (trading as HILSCHER, G.), 8, Beckerstrasse, Chemnitz, Saxony, Germany. Jan: 11, 1933, Nos. 970 and 971. Convention dates, Jan. 11, 1932 and Feb. 5, 1932. [Class 74 (ii).] The cam shaft of a straightbar machine is shogged by means of a number of rollers D, D<1> mounted upon the machine frame for radial movement with respect to the cam shaft C. Two sets of cams B, B<1>, L, L<1> aie provided upon the cam shaft, and the rollers D, D<1> are movable together so that they all engage either one or other of the sets of cams. The radial displacement of the rollers D, D<1> from the outer to the inner sets of cams is effected under pattern control, and the return of the rollers to the outer position is obtained by means of a cam T on the cam shaft. A mutilated disc D<x> may be provided upon the cam shaft for engagement with a stop member H<x> on the machine frame for locking the shaft in either of its two positions.
