Abstract

468,953. Roller saddles for spinning- frames. GIBSON, W. Jan. 11, 1936, No. 954. [Class 120 (ii)] In wet-spinning frames for flax, hemp, jute, ramie and like fibres, the upper pressing-roller 6 is adjustably carried in a saddle-piece 1 suspended with limited freedom from the stand by cross-pins 2, and the lower pressing- roller 11 is carried in a saddle-piece 8 engaging, by means of a slightly curved or straight slot 9, the cross-pins 2 and bearing on abutments 7 on the saddle piece 1, so that, when the diameter of the lower roller is altered, the saddle pivots about the abutments 7 to an extent controlled by the slot 9 and the reach is maintained substantially constant.
