467,781. Devices for connecting or suspending cables, wire ropes, &c. WOODHOUSE, W. B., and NORTHERN UTILITIES TRUST, Ltd. Sept. 30, 1936, No. 26528. [Class 109] [Also in Group XXXVI] A device for connecting, suspending, or clamping stranded wires; cables, ropes, &c. comprises One or more sleeves 18, 19 of copper or like soft metal and clamping members 10, 11 for compressing the sleeve or sleeves on to the cable &c. Recesses 16, 17 are provided in the members 10, 11 and are of such length that lengthways movement of the sleeve or sleeves 18, 19 therein is prevented. The inner surface of the sleeve or sleeves 18, 19 may be fluted or rifled to conform to the lay of the strands.
