[Class 19] Fringe mop material is gripped without auxiliary securing means on the groove or grooves of a mop head formed in one piece solely by the elasticity of the mop material. The mop head is preferably semicircular in section with one or more grooves 2, Fig. 7. The material is passed round a cord like insertion 5, Fig. 16, and secured by linen 6. To save wool 3, Fig. 17, the cord 7 is placed above it. In a further modification, Fig. 18, a band 8 of resilient material is made to grip the wool fringes 3. In another modification, Fig. 9, a woven pad 9 has reinforced edges 4. The holding body or stock, Fig. 14, may be made entirely of rubber or other flexible material or the stock may be partly covered with resilient material 11, Fig. 8.
