[Class 103 (vi)] [See also Group XXXIV] A vehicle wheel is mounted by conical roller bearings f in a grease sleeve h fixed to the undercarriage, and. by a sliding cylindrical bearing on a floating axle a. The outer race ring g is slidable in the grease sleeve h and is retained therein by a cover i which excludes dust and retains lubricant. A spring k takes up the play in the roller bearing and feeds the lubricant towards the bearings. For vehicles which run normally in one direction two springs of opposite hand may be used.
