457,672. Washing-machines. ROGERS, F. H., 181, Queen Victoria Street, London.- (Prosperity Co., Inc. ; Beattie Street, Syracuse, New York, U.S.A.) July 26, 1935, No. 21303. [Class 138 (ii)] One of the trunnions 42 of the clothes receptacle 12 which rotates within the stationary casing 6 is made hollow, and liquid, particularly rinsing-liquid from an external pipe, not shown, is passed through the trunnion into a chamber 46 formed between the recessed end wall 48 of the receptacle and a plate 43 bolted thereto and secured to the trunnion. One or more rings of apertures 49, 51 are formed in the end wall 48 whereby the liquid supplied through the trunnion passes through the apertures in the form of horizontal jets which travel axially through the clothes receptacle and strike the door closing the other end of the receptacle. This door is constructed and mounted as described in Specification 457,753. Detergent materials and hot and cold washing water are fed into the casing through a shoot arranged along one side and a drain valve is provided.
