Abstract

449,516. Non-refillable bottles. GOLDSTONE, E., 66, Kurfurstendamm, Berlin. Sept. 21, 1934, Nos. 27188 and 27189. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, March 25, 1935]. [Class 125 (i)] A safeguarding device for ordinary bottles, canisters, and other liquid receptacles comprises a cap fixed on the neck of the receptacle and another part within it forming the seat of a ball or other non-return valve. Three forms are shown, Figs. 1, 3, 10. In Fig. 1, a ball 5 is seated in a member 4 resting on a washer 10 on the mouth of a bottle. The member 4 is held by a part 6 forming the outlet and secured by a non-removable capsule 2. A movable conical baffle 9 wider than its seating prevents tampering by wire. In a modification, Fig. 3, a baffle 17 is fixed and provided with staggered liquid passages 21. In the second modification, Fig. 10, a ball 5 has a movable baffle with ribs 12 acting as guides on the sides of the neck 27. An upper socket 28 with bent-in edges 29 and a closure 30 completes the device.
