449,075. Alternating-current motors. SIEMENS - SCHUCKERTWERKE AKT.- GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. Jan. 9, 1936. No. 821. Convention (late, Jan. 30, 1935. [Class 35] A svnchronous motor com prises two toothed members with shading means connect ed to one end of the stator core, and another membe: with teeth of at least double width to the other end, the three sets of teeth being imbricated and cooperating with a multi-limbed polarized rotor. In the form shown, the cup 3 with a toothed edge is connected to one end of the core 2, to the other end of which is secured plates 4 and 5 separated by a shading plate 6, the teeth on the members 3, 4 and 5 being imbricated to co-operate with the star-shaped polarized rotor 7. The width of the teeth on the plates 4 and 5 is less than half the width of the teeth on cup 3.
