[Class 35] Motors, controlling-In a split phase motor employing a condenser in series with the auxiliary phase, the two phase windings are designed for different network voltages so that either may be used as the main phase and the other in series with the condenser, acts as the auxiliary phase. An additional condenser may be connected in parallel with the main condenser for starting.
