Abstract
As activators in rubber vulcanizing mixes are used amino-thiophenols or derivatives thereof such as o-amino thiophenol, o-o1 diamino-diphenyl disulphide, o-o1 diamino diphenyl monosulphide, p-amino-thiophenol, p-p1 diamino diphenyl monosulphide, m-amino thiophenol, m-m1 diamino diphenyl monosulphide, o-p1 diamino diphenyl sulphide and disulphide, halogen or alkyl nuclear-substituted derivatives thereof, and salts and acyl derivatives, made by replacing the hydrogen of an -SH group. The preferred accelerators are mercapto-benzo-thiazole or its derivatives, e.g. its disulphide, dinitro phenyl ester, and benzoyl benzothiazyl sulphide.
