Abstract

Mixed rubbers comprising at least 50 per cent artificial rubber and at least 70 per cent natural rubber, are vulcanized in the presence of finely divided carbon. Other additions such as soft resins, fillers, plasticizers, accelerators and dyestuffs may be made. The products are suitable for tyres, tubes, conveyer bands, driving belts, joint packings, surface coverings, impregnating fabrics, &c. The rubbers may be mixed in the solid or latex form. Six examples are given. Specifications 315,916, 323,322, 328,190, 328,812, and 332,891, [all in Class 70, Indiarubber &c.], are referred to.
