Abstract

445,220. Luggage-carriers. LIEDTKE, E., 17, Pappritzer Strasse, Dresden, Germany. March 8, 1935, No. 7255. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 13, 1935.] [Class 136 (i)] [See also Group XXXII] A cycle trailer having wheels &c. is adapted to be turned up to serve as a luggage-carrier. The trailer comprises tubes 2, 3, 4 mounted on telescopic cross tubes so that it can be collapsed or narrowed when serving as a luggage-carrier. The trailer is connected by a universal or ball joint 18 with a connector 20 comprising bars 21, 22, Fig. 2, and pivoted holding bars 23, 24 which may take the form of bars 26 which are clamped to the rear braces 29 of the cycle. The device may be turned up to either of the positions shown in Figs. 9 and 10 and held by holders 45 and telescopic braces 35 which connect the cycle frame with the wheel bearings 14, 15.
