Abstract

444,874. Closures for collapsable tubes. MERMILLOD, M., 54, Rue Ancienne, Carouge, Geneva. June 28, 1934, No. 19102. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Dec. 31, 1934]. [Class 125 (iii)] In a collapsable tube 1 for substances in paste form and having its discharge orifices 10 provided with a movable closure member 3, the closure member is provided with an opening 13 which when the member is in closed position is sealed by a plug 5 forming a part of the body of the tube, and when the closure member is in the open position, this opening is removed from the plug to permit discharge of the contents of the tube. The cap 3 screws on the thread 2 provided on the neck portion 12 of the tube. The discharge orifices 10 are arcuate, and nearly surround the plug 5 which is connected to the body of the tube by bridge members 4. The plug 5 has a conical portion 9 which fits exactly into the opening 13 which has a conical wall 14. A groove 6 at the base of the conical portion 9 of the plug 5 receives a gasket 7. A lip 8 provided on the wall of the cap 3 facilitates rotation of the cap.
