Abstract

490,900. Closures for collapsable tubes. PEDERSEN, H. Jan. 17, 1938, No. 1497. [Class 125 (iii)] A collapsable tube containing paste or the like, has a nipple 2 with a discharge opening 4. The closure cap 6 has a segmental opening 7 and also an interior groove which receives the helical bead 5 when the cap is in position. A pin 8 on the nipple extends into the opening 7 to limit the rotation of the cap which is shown in Fig. 2 closing the opening 4. The cap can be rotated to bring the openings 7, 4 into register but cannot be detached from the nipple. The edge of the opening 7 is bevelled to cut off the extruded paste as the cap is returned to the closed position.
