442,715. Transformers. COMPAGNIE ELECTRO-MECANIQUE, 12, Rue Portalis, Paris. June 26, 1935, No. 18286. Convention date, July 12, 1934. [Class 38 (ii)] Transformer cores comprise winding limbs A, B, C laminated in a plane parallel to their axes and extending into or through apertures in the yokes F, G, the latter being laminated in a plane at right angles to the axes of the limbs. To avoid circulating currents the yoke laminations are split either between the apertures as indicated at H or along their outer sides. To facilitate assembly the ends of the limbs may be tapered, and shoulders against which the yokes abut may be formed below the tapered portions.
