Abstract
439,151. Pressure gauges. CORNING GLASS WORKS, Walnut Street, Corning, New York, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Day, R. K. ; 21, West 1st Street, Coming, New York, U.S.A.) April 29, 1935, No. 12796. Convention date, May 25, 1934. [Class 106 (ii)] A tube for a differential pressure gauge having one end closed is formed with a partition wall 11 extending longitudinally of the tube and terminating in spaced relation to the closed end to form parallel passages 12 13 communicating at 15. The upper part 16 of the partition is bent over and sealed to the inner wall of the tube to close the upper end of the passage 13. A vent 17 is formed in the side of the tube near the upper end of the passage 13. A nipple 18 is formed as shown. In a modification a second nipple is provided instead of the vent 17. The graduations overlap both passages 12, 13.
