436,950. Spray-producers. MILBOURNE, S. M., 74, Green Lane, Edgware, Middlesex, FRANKS, F., 41A, Palmerston Road, Bowes Park, London, and WALKER, Ltd., C. & W., 70, Victoria Street, Westminster. April 16, 1934, No. 11426. [Class 69 (iii)] An atomizer comprises an annular weir over which liquid flows and through which a blast of compressed air or gas is blown. The weir may be formed in a fitting 11, Fig. 1, having an outwardly flared bore 14 and a sharp edge 17 over which liquid is fed from a pipe 2. The member 11 is screwed into an upper member 10 having an axially-tapered passage 12 communicating with the air supply. In a modification, instead of the members being screwed axially, the air supply member may comprise a block 18, Fig. 2, having a tapered air passage 27, and a plug 22 provided with the weir 21 screwed into a lateral bore in the block 18. In further modifications instead of being screwed, the plug has a sliding fit into the block, and the air supply may be screwed therein. Specification 427,034 is referred to.
