[Class 60] [See also Group XXII] In an electrically operated hand grinding machine comprising a motor 4 secured in cantilever fashion by screws 5 to a tool casing 3 and protected by a casing 7 which forms a handle, this casing is provided with oppositely located lugs 7a fitting within recesses in the casing 3 and secured thereto by a cap nut 11 screwing on the casing 3, a washer 12 being placed between the nut and casing. The motor casing 7, which may be made of a material of low tensile strength, carries a lead-in 8 for the supply cable, a suspension hook 9 and a switch-operating lever 10.
