Milling-cutters.-A grinding, cutting or polishing tool is in the form of a piece cut obliquely from a cylinder and adapted to be rotated about the axis, the peripheral surface acting as the grinding &c. surface; several such tools may be mounted on a common shaft. In a modified construction, Figs. 3 and 4; the oblique grinding- disc consists of plates b, b<1> between which are secured segments a, held in position by bolts c and ribs d, and adjustable radially by screws e. The plates b, b<1> may be made of elastic material in order to provide a good frictional contact. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 4320/82, [Class 60, Grinding or abrading &c.]; 14358/93; 18351/07; 152,999 and 269,390, [both in Class 60, Grinding or abrading &c.].
