A guard for a power driven hand tool such as a grinding wheel comprises two parts 14, 19 the former 14 being clamped to a stationary part 10 of the tool and having a peripheral flange 16 over which a complementary flange 20 of the other part 19 is detachably retained by a screw 18 and spring pressed pins 23.
