Abstract

432,033. Steam traps. GERDTS, G. F., 31, Markusallee, Bremen, Germany. Jan. 15, 1934, No. 1466. Convention date, April 26, 1933. [Class 64 (ii)] A steam trap resembling a De Laval nozzle comprises a cylindrical body a having a funnel-shaped inlet section b, a long acutelytaperingly bored main section d, a short intermediate section c with a bore of considerably reduced area of flow, a short section e of a diameter larger than the other sections, and an outlet section f. The nozzle angle is preferably less than 10‹. A number of these nozzles may be used arranged in series-parallel. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to British Specification 18825/13, [Class 64 (ii)], and U.S.A. Specification 1,882,062.
