[Class 99 (i)] [See also Group XXIX] Means for attaching a delivery pipe 20 to the plug cock of a beerbarrel or the like 8, so that the pipe cannot be detached unless the cock is closed, comprise a tubular operating member 17 which, by the engagement of an internal flange 24 with a flange 23 on the pipe, holds the pipe 20 within the end of the plug. When engaging the parts, projections 30 on wings 25 on the operating member 17 pass through gaps in a flange 28 on the plug casing 6, and slots 18 in the operating member pass over pins 19 projecting from the plug ; rotation of the operating member 17 then opens the cock, the projections 30 moving in the recess between the flanges 27, 28, and stops, (not shown), limiting the movement. A screw-cap may be applied over the outer end of the plug casing when the pipe and operating member are detached.
