Convention date, May 11, 1932. [Class 69 (ii).] The periphery of one member K, Fig. 1, of a hydraulic coupling is provided with one or more flaps A, Fig. 2, each co-acting with a control port D and an exhaust port E, and being provided with a small aperture J opposite the port D. The port D may be supplied with liquid for closing the exhaust port from the coupling supply or through a pipe F. In a modification, the flap is disposed in a casing having outlets 0, P, Fig. 6, and exhaust from the coupling is permitted when liquid is supplied to the port D ; at other times, the pressure in the coupling moves the flap so that a projection Q closes the outlet P.
