424,657. Television. JACOMB, W. W., and BAIRD TELEVISION, Ltd., 58, Victoria Street London. Sept. 19 1933, No. 25866 [Class 40 (iii)] A television transmitter adapted tc scan kinema films, comprises an optical system which includes a lens 4 placed close to the film 3 adapted to refract margina rays. The optica system consists o: a condensing lens 5 illuminating the film, the lens 4 which preferably forms an image of the lens 5 in the plane of a lens 7, a projecting lens 7 which forms an image of the film on the scanning disc 8, and a lens 9 which forms an image of the lens 7 on the cell 10, so that the same area of the cell is illuminated throughout the scanning.
