Abstract

401,511. Photographic projectionprinting apparatus. LOENING, E., 31, Neuenburger Strasse, Berlin. Dec. 21, 1932, No. 36182. [Class 98 (i).] Letterpress printing formes are illuminated for reproduction by projection printing, by means of a light reflecting or diffusing surface of at least double the dimensions of the forme and having an aperture in the centre large enough to allow the light reflected from the forme to reach the copying lens. In the form shown, a translucent pane G<1>, G<2> is provided surrounding the lens O, light from sources L<1>, L<2> passing through the pane to illuminate the forme U whence it is reflected into the lens O. In a modifloation the light sources L', L<2> are located alongside the forme U, the pane G<1>, G<2> being of reflecting material. The apparatus is particularly applicable for use with the formes described in Specification 385,808.
