Abstract

424,628. Inks. GLOVER, A. L., 51, Milton Street, Finsbury, London. June 26, 1933, No. 18156. [Class 146 (iii)] An ink for use with stamp inking-pads of wood comprises a dye and a carrier therefor containing cyclohexylidene - cyclohexanone or a derivative thereof, e.g. methyloyclohexylidene - methycyclohexanone, or both. The dye and its carrier may be dissolved in benzyl alcohol, diacetone alcohol, or other solvent which will not warp the wood of the pad, injure the rubber stamps, or evaporate under ordinary conditions. Esters of organic acids having similar properties, e.g. butyl lactate, amyl lactate, amyl tartrate, and dimethylcyclohexanol oxalate may be added. A number of examples, giving proportions, are specified.
