Abstract
422,407. Fluid - actuated valves. WAYNE TANK & PUMP CO., Ltd., 42, Newlands Park, Sydenham, London.-(Jauch, R. J. ; North Anthony Boulevard, Fort Wayne, Indiana, U.S.A.) Aug. 28, 1934, No. 24791. [Class 135] A check valve 5 is carried by a diaphragm 6 clamped in position across a chamber 3 by a chambered cap 7, passages 8, 12, 10, 11 putting the upper surface of the diaphragm into communication with the chamber 3. The valve is shown applied to a compressed air tank 17, the valve opening when the pressure in the supply pipe 16 acting on the valve 5 overcomes the differential effect on the diaphragm of the pressure in the chamber 3. The lower surface of the cap 7 is curved to support the diaphragm when the valve is open. The cap is closed by a plug 15 or a pressure gauge may be fitted at this point.
