Abstract

417,904. Circular knitting-machines. SINFRA AKT.-GES., St. Gallen, Switzerland. Dec. 22, 1933, No. 36155. Convention date, Dec. 23, 1932. [Class 74 (ii).] To knit tubular yarns having colour effects, yarn carriers carried and operated similarly to the needles are put into and out of action in predetermined order. The yarn guide holder 1 carries a cylinder 2 in the tricks of which are reciprocated jacks 4 carrying guides 6. The upper part of the cylinder is clamped to the holder 1 by a nut 3, which affords axial adjustment. The jacks 4 are reciprocated in groups by a cam casing 11 mounted on ball bearings 5 and carrying concentric individually driven cam tracks of the configuration shown in Fig. 2. The holder 1 &c. may be rotated in opposition to the casing 11.
