417,429. Trueing grinding - wheels. LINDNER, H., 9, Lubarser Strasse, Wittenau, Berlin. Jan. 11, 1934, No. 6629. Divided out of and addition to 417,405. [Class 60.] In a device for dressing profiled grinding- wheels as described in the parent Specification, a single dressing-tool adapted to be set in two operative positions, for treating the two halves of the profile, is employed. The dressing-tool 1 is carried by a part 4<a> of the lever 4, this part being connected to the lever by a pivot 30<1> and retained in position by a cover plate 31<1>. In the part 4<a> is a spring-pressed bolt 33, which may enter one or other of two recesses 33<a>, 33<b> in the plate 31<1> when the arm 9 is moved to carry the plug 8<1> and lever 4 round, so that an arm 4b of the part 4<a> engages stops 32, 35 respectively. Thus, after one half of the profile has been dressed, the arm 9 is moved to cause the tool 1 to take up the position for dressing the other half of the profile. The point of the tool 1, where it contacts with the grinding- wheel S, lies in the axis of rotation of the pivot 30<1>.
