Abstract

417,398. Securing shaft fittings. ATELIERS DE CONSTRUCTIONS ELECTRIQUES DE CHARLEROI, April 11, 1933, No. 10800. Convention date, April 12, 1932. [Class 80 (ii).] The inner race of a ball or roller bearing is mounted as a sliding or push fit on a shaft and is held against an abutment by an elastic system held by a nut which is independently locked. The inner race 1 of a ball bearing is mounted on a shaft 2 having an abutment or collar against which it is held by means of two springy dished washers 9, 10 supported in a frame 19 and against which pressure is exerted by the nut 7 which when in position is suitably locked. Alternative forms of spring washer and nut locking means are described. Specifications 25790/01, [Class 12], 22572 /14, and 339,767, [both in Class 12 (i)], are referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also a reference to the lateral fixing on shaft of devices other than bearings. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
