Abstract
415,991. Rolling. KRUPP GRUSONWERK AKT.-GES., F., Buckau, Magdeburg, Germany. May 18,, 1934, No. 15013. Convention date, July 12, 1933. [Class 83 (iv).] In raising or lowering the centre roll 5 of a three-high mill, a part 6 only of its bearing block moves with it, sliding in guide blocks 7 of the fixed part 1. The roll may be automatically adjusted vertically by hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders 11 in the fixed part 1 so that when the tilting table is lowered the roll 5 is raised and vice versa. A thrust bearing is provided in each end part 1. The part 1 can be removed from the frame by removing the screws 2.
