Abstract
415,151. Spyholes for doors. LEIGH, V. S., 33, Private Road, Enfield, Middlesex. Feb. 28, 1933, Nos. 6147, 6364, and 20189. [Class 20 (iii).] An aperture in a door for conversation and observation is provided on the outer side with a grille or grid a and on the inner side with a hinged or sliding shutter b. The grille may have a closure which when hinged may be connected by a chain &c. with the inner hinged shutter, Fig. 7. The frames may be bolted together and to stop draught the piece of wood removed to make the aperture may be secured to the inner shutter. The grille may be of any known ventilator kind and may be combined with a letter plate. A fastening or spring-closing hinge is provided on the inner shutter.
