413,170. Rotary engines. JAGER, C., 39, Alte Frankfurterstrasse, Waldhof, Mannheim, Germany. Nov. 3, 1933, No. 30594. Convention date, Nov. 5, 1932. [Class 110 (ii).] A pump, engine, or meter is formed with two similar rotors c, d of approximately elliptical shape provided with teeth on their peripheries. The lengths of the radius vectors, describing the pitch circles, are extended beyond the lines defining true ellipses, between each major and minor half axis, so that the sum of each pair of vectors measured from the rotor axes to the point of contact y is equal to the distance between the axes. The rotor peripheries may be smooth and the shafts connected externally by elliptical gears. A major axis of each rotor passes through the centres of two teeth, and the minor axes through the centres of two gaps, or vice-versa.
