[Class 102 (i).] A fuel-injection system comprises a feed pump f delivering through a check valve b to the suction pipe g of the fuel injection pump. The check valve b is loaded on the upper side by the delivery pressure of the feed pump and on the lower side by the suction of the feed pump through the pipe o and also by the spring c. When the engine speed rises above a predetermined limit, the valve b is closed, cutting off the suction to the fuel injection pumps. A valve l is fitted between the feed pump delivery pipe m and the suction pipe o.
