Abstract
403,130. Valve generating circuits. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., Marconi House, Strand, London, and BAKER, G. B., Priest's Hill, Nettlebed, Henley-on-Thames. June 21, 1932, Nos. 17482 and 26944. [Class 40 (v).] The frequency of a valve generator of the dynatron type is maintained constant despite changes in the supply voltage. As shown, the high grid voltage is obtained from a tap 10 on a potentiometer 11 connected across a HT supply 12, 13 ; whilst a lower plate voltage is obtained by a tap 9 on a potentiometer 8 connected between the grid and cathode. By adjustment of the taps, a setting is found in which an alteration in the supply voltage 12, 13 causes such relative alterations in the plate and grid voltages that frequency is unaffected. Supply for the plate and grid may be taken from A.C. mains through a tapped transformer and rectifiers; or by a single transformer and rectifier with suitable impedances in the grid and plate leads.
