[Class 122 (i).] In a piston having a light alloy head and a cast iron or steel skirt having annular flattened portions 15 for attachment to the skirt as described in the parent Specification, the said portions have tubular extensions 17 coaxial with and embedded in the gudgeon-pin bosses. Holes 18 in the extensions increase the keying effect.
