Abstract
399,125. Bolt fastenings. BRAY, W., Wilmincote, Ashlawn Road, Hillmorton Paddox, Rugby. May 17, 1933, No. 14320. [Class 44.] A vertically sliding bolt C, with a handle C<1> co-operating with one of the guides B to maintain the lower end of the bolt clear of the floor, cooperates with a raised ramp D leading to an aperture D<1> into which the bolt drops, the ramp having a raised stop D<2> limiting closing movement of the door. The bolt may have a second handle C<2> passing through a slot A<1> in the door. A second vertical bolt may be provided to secure the upper edge of the door, and connected by a lever with bolt C so as to be raised into engagement with a socket on the lintel when bolt C drops into engagement. A ramp E with bolt-receiving recess E<1> and stop E2 may be used to hold the door open.
