Abstract

397,009. Sifting apparatus. PEGSON, Ltd., St. Saviour's Road East, and GREEN, C. H., 33, St. Stephen's Road, both in Leicester. Dec. 31, 1932, No. 37027. [Class 117.] Vibratory screens are mounted on springs which permit movement of the screens towards and away from the supporting frame, and these springs are in turn mounted on other springs which permit movement in a direction longitudinally of the supporting frame. As shown, the screen frame 1 is supported on bowed laminated springs 2 which are connected at their ends, through shackles 8 to upright blade springs 15 which may be laminated and are bolted to the supporting framework so as to flex in a direction transverse to the direction of flexure of the springs 2. The driving mechanism consists of rotary unbalanced pulleys 12 mounted on the screen.
