Abstract

392,762. Spanners. YOUNG, B. P., 14, King Edward Avenue, Blackpool. June 29, 1932, No. 18316. [Class 61 (iii).] A wrench or spanner 1 is provided at one or each end 2 with a triangular or other prismatic block 4 with sockets 5 to fit differentsized nuts &c. pivoted on an axis at rightangles to those of the sockets. Pivots 6 may be integral with or welded to the block or be screwed therein so that the block may be changed. Hexagon sockets with a recess 7, Fig. 3, cut in each side may be used so as to enable a hexagon nut to be given one-twelfth of a revolution at each operation. In another modification the block 4, Fig. 5, may be pivoted on balls 9 engaged by screws 10.
