[Class 37.] A flat or curved heating panel comprises a sheet of good heat-conductive material a having a resistance wire c sheathed in insulating beads d arranged tortuously on one face and secured thereto by sheet metal strips or clips b riveted to the sheet and engaging the straight portions of the wire. The strips may be replaced by a corrugated sheet, the insulated wire being cemented in the corrugations. The sheet a is preferably enamelled metal and is lagged or backed by slag wool h arranged in a metal tray. Mica strips m may be arranged between the sheet and the resistance element.
