Abstract

387,099. Ink-ribbon mechanism. HEYS, J., Bedwbach House, Llanharan Road, Pontyclun, Glamorgan. May 10, 1932, No. 33. [Class 100 (iv).] A re-inking device is formed from a single strip of metal and comprises a resilient arm formed with an attaching-clip, and a holder for inking-medium, the arm being arranged to hold the inking-medium in contact with the ink ribbon. The device shown in the Figure consists of a resilient arm 8b formed with clips 8c for engaging the spoolguard 10, a holder 8a for black and red blocks 9a, 9b of inking-compound, and ribbon guides 8d. To permit attachment of the device to a member other than the spool-guard, the arm may be formed at the top and bottom with clips, or may be formed at one end with a bowspring clip.
