Abstract

477,466. Reservoir nibs. GILLOTT & SONS, Ltd., J., and GILLOTT, N. R. July 6, 1936, No. 18654. [Class 146 (iii)] A plate 14, movably mounted on the concave side of a pen-nib, is so arranged that its side edges engage the pointed part of the nib to form an ink-reservoir. The plate is formed with a waisted portion to provide gaps 22 for the entrance of ink, with projections 17 adapted to enter apertures in the nib, and with a bent extension 19. A tongue 13, out from the nib, engages the extension 19 to hold the plate 14 in contact with the nib or extending outwardly therefrom in a position to facilitate cleaning. A part 20 is bent up from the extension 19 to serve as a finger-piece. The plate may be formed from stainless steel or other non-corrodible material.
